So I'm back (for like the four millionth time) - but I cannot stop trying. And here I am. Working on some small behavioral changes.

I was doing well on my own at the start of the pandemic, but things sorta spiraled out of control over the summer and now i'm pretty much back to where I started.

But I don't want to be overweight for the rest of my life. If I don't make some changes, nothing will change.

ULTIMATE GOAL: Reach a healthy BMI
FIRST "BIG" GOAL: LOSE 56 LBS (179.5)
See below for small and medium-sized goals geared to get me to my *ultimate* goal.

JAN: -8 lbs (met my high target goal)
FEB: -5.2 lbs (met my low target goal)
MAR: -6.2 lbs (just above mid target goal!)
APR: -3.2 lbs (missed my low target goal)

My Program:
I am working to learn my behavioral hangups that contribute to unhealthy eating habits. I used BistroMD the first quarter of 2021 and had great success, so have decided to extend it for another 3 months. It's a complete food/snack delivery service (with normal food). I know this isn't a long-term solution, but for now getting some of the excess weight off is my priority. Eventually I will have to learn how to do it on my own, likely with a transition period. But I can't argue with success.
1. Stick to BistroMD menu each week, for 12 weeks.
2. Record my weight every Saturday and Sunday morning.
3. Once each month, take photos and measurements, report photos monthly and measurements quarterly.
4. Blog weekly progress reports on Sunday.
5. Incorporate daily exercise.
6. Nutrition calorie goals: 40-45% protein, 30-35% carbohydrates and 20-25% healthy fats.



Personal Information:
I live in Tucson AZ, have two cats, and grow weird succulents. I love to hike, take pictures and dance. I'm learning Spanish and love to practice! I'm an inspiring writer.


Other Information:
My SPARK is that I want be healthy and fit enough to return to the active lifestyle I used to have. I miss that part of life and the Me that thrived off being active.

    I just saw your comment about Flagstaff on my feed from last week. I love the town, too. I used to live there back in the 80's - 90's and always missed it after I left. When I came back to Arizona in 2018, though, the prices of real estate had gone through the roof, and I wasn't interested in the properties that I could afford. It's also gotten so much bigger! Anyway, I rented an apartment there for a few months until I found this house in Williams and fell in love with the property and neighborhood I'm in. It's only about a 30 minute drive from here to the Flagstaff city limits, which makes it pretty easy to spend time there.

    I haven't been to Tucson in decades. I only went down twice before I left. I'm going to take a vacation down there some spring because I had such a good time there before. I love the Sonora Desert Museum and Organ Pipe. I also went down to Tubac and then to Nogales to spend an afternoon in Mexico shopping. So many places to see, it's going to take me awhile to get to them.
