I am starting over & giving this another try. I'm not going to think about the past or how many times I've failed.
I still struggle with severe depression but this year has been filled with lots of growth and healing ! I have new tools to use along the journey and I'm going to use them all. No more pretending to "have it all together" for me... it is what it is ...

I am the lucky mom of 2 beautiful children ages 3 & 1 and have the body to prove it ! I am very ready to get into the best shape of my life but I find it very hard to put myself first and take time to focus on me right now :( I have a loving husband who never complains about how much my body has changed , but I would really like to get fit for him as well as for myself . I am very aware of how quickly age has a way of creeping up on us and know it will only get harder to take control of my body if I keep "waiting" for the day I find the motivation I need to get my butt moving but it seems so hard to add one more thing ... I am hoping that being on here will inspire & motivate me to stick with a healthy lifestyle long enough to make a change ... So here's to all of your stories that are giving me hope that I too can get fit !

Plan my meals
Walk at least two miles EVERY day !
Drink water instead of sweet drinks
Find healthy substitutes for my sweet tooth

    Thank you so much for your support lately! Your story about what happened at the flea market just broke my heart. People are so rude!

    I'm so so so sorry you had to experience that. And I am so sad that you were hurt by him.

    Something I've learned: People are rude for a myriad of different reasons. If it wasn't your size, it would be your freckles, size of yoru ears, height, scars, knees/elbows, laugh, etc. His comment was more a reflection on him than on your size.

    Your body is wonderful as it is. It is doing a fabulous job keeping you alive, getting you from point A to point B, letting you experience hugs and tickles and kisses. She has done nothing wrong. Will you feel better a little lighter? maybe. But you can't hate on a body that is helping you live your life fully.

    Hi, just wanted to welcome you to SP! I am actually new too, just starting out in my weight loss journey. We have a lot in common---I have three young children, ages 6, 3, and 5 months, so I completely understand how hard it is to make time for yourself. I think that is the biggest hurdle for me-- finding time to work out and cook healthy meals. I also have a supportive hubby who has never commented on my weight, but I know that I need to lose it to be a good role model for my kids and feel better about myself. Just like you, my body shows that I have had kids :) and I am so lucky to have them, but it's time to lose the extra fat.
