I'm will be 28 this year and I've realized that I can't keep living life the way that I have been the past couple of years. I will never be model thin without being very ill, and I will never be the 5'7 beauty I dreamed of being when I was younger, but I can be healthy and active and love myself for who I am. Imperfections and all. I have an amazing husband who is supportive and loving, and an amazing family who I hope will be encouraged by my lifestyle change and become more healthy themselves. I have no children but maybe in the future that will happen. Right now I believe it's time to focus on me, and I don't think that's selfish. If I want to be a better wife/sister/daughter/friend, then I have to be a better me first.
I hope to find some friends on here along the way to gain some encouragement from, as well as give encouragement. So here's to our goals people! May we reach them and achieve health and happiness!

Fitness Minutes: 90

My Goals:
My goal is to lose 40 lbs by my 5th wedding anniversary in January of 2012. I know it's an aggressive goal for me but I really want to achieve it!
I would also like to run a 5K by then end of the summer in 2012. :0)

My Program:
I am counting calories as well as getting my proper amount of water. (I've never been very good at that.) For exercise I'm going to alternate between doing pilates and going to the gym that is only 1 block from my house! (no excuses there huh?) I have to start slow because I just had surgery but I'm excited to start!
