I've been fat my whole life. My senior year of high school I was able to get down to 185, but that weight has multiplied over the years, so that as of today over 350 lbs. There was a time in my life where I didn't even know it was possible to need to lose so much weight. I've contemplated finding a way to afford surgery, but I want to do this myself. I have a food addiction, I don't eat healthy, and I don't eat at the right times. I can usually maintain a diet for about a month, possibly even three, but I have found once I break the diet regimen that I set for myself, I can't get back on the wagon. Its almost 100% a mental wall that prevents me from getting the weight down. I even lose weight at a remarkably easy pace compared to the one or two lbs you are supposed to lose over time. I love carbs, I love pop, and while most desserts aren't exciting, I love ice cream. I also never seem to be full. I can fnish an entire meal (appetizer, soup, and an entree) at Olive Garden, and then start snacking at home and it won't phase me. I know if I force myself to smaller portions, my stomach will shrink down, but its uncomfortable trying to get to that point.

My Goals:
I would like to get down to 200 lbs.

I would like to fit in a 34 jean again.

I want to enjoy buying clothes to wear, instead of feeling like buying clothes is a necessary evil.

My Program:
Cook at home more.

Spread out my meals.

Preparing meal ahead of time, possibly?

Go to the gym, ever.

Use spark people to track my changes and take pictures.

This page, currently, is just for weight loss, fitness, and health. I don't have people in my life that understand what I go through on an every day basis, and I feel that is where Sparkpeople will come in handy.

Other Information:
I love to read, write, play video games, watch movies, cook. All things that are detrimental to weight loss. Stephen King is my favorite author, although I've recently started Game of Thrones. I love the shows!

Hey saw you over on fitbit, and as someone who lost From 365 to a reasonable weight back in the 1980's just wanted to pop and and let you know it is possible without surgery. I tried everything until I found what worked for me, and during stressful times when I would go back up a little, I sometimes had to take it off with "new" ideas. Have been under 200 pounds for over 20 years now. Never made it to officially skinny for very long, but I got strong, fit, and normal sized (looking) really well. You can do it. Try anything that looks like it might work for you as long as it is not Very Low Calorie. Crazy diets make people fat.
