Well Monkey is 16 months now and I am still struggling to lose this last 20lbs I put on. One day at a time!


I have been gone for almost a year I guess and I am back and even heavier then before but for a good cause. I am the proud momma of a baby boy who was born Oct. 1 2009. He is the light of my world and just typing this makes me emotional!

We had a rough pregnancy. I had severe morning sickness almost the entire pregnancy. I ended up in the hospital twice for dehydration. At the end of my pregnancy I swelled like a balloon and had to be put on bed rest for pre- eclampsia. Finally after begging for two weeks the doctor induced me. After about 24 hours of labor, 3 hours of pushing I ended up in the operating room having a C-section. My 9.7lb baby boy was born at 5:47pm on the 1st of October.

I am so happy. I don't think I have ever been happier even on the days that I barely slept!

So here I am in a new chapter of my life and hopefully I can get the rest of the weight off.

My Goals:
I want to get down to 150lbs. I am not setting a date for myself because I never seem to get there in time and then I feel like I have failed.

Most of my eating issues are emotional and I have worked a ton on those. I am now the happiest I have ever been in my life. Life is so different for me now.

My Program:
I use South Beach. I have tried other plans and been successful to a point but with SB I always feel more satisfied.

I use to be a gym rat but now I am a working mom so when I am not at work I want to be home. I still have my membership so we will see how it goes. I have no idea what my work out plan will be lol!

I am happily married. This July will be our 8th wedding anniversary. We have two dogs and a cat a lot with our son.

Life has really changed for use and I am not sure what it will bring but I know everyday I feel truly blessed.

    Thanks for the goodie!! I still keep bouncing up and down between 199 and 201 so I have not completely celebrated yet! I did however drop some more fat % wise so thats what I am more excited about.
    It's sounds like things have not been easy for you, it never is when we can't eat the healthier foods we like. Hang in there. At least you are not gaining!

    I only have Kundalini Yoga for Beginners. And I H-A-T-E the new age-y woo-woo stuff. (ALL of it. I'm one of those icky skeptics.) I only do the affirmations because it's fun to sing along with Ana, LOL.

    I've read her personal webpage, and she's a beautiful person, but . . . yeah. She's a raw foodie chakra-holic and I'm so not. I like Kundalini because of how it feel when I do it.

    Thanks for the stop by and the comment. I'll have to throw Fat Free on my list. Sometimes the New Age music on DVDs makes me crazy; porn music would be a nice change of pace.
