STARTING OVER; A NEW BEGINING
The recent (April 22) death of my husband has left me feeling sad and lifeless, but as I continue to wake up every day and reality sets in I know I have to keep moving foreward. I have reached my high weight of 225 again; this is where I started in '09. Part of me feels like it doesn't matter anymore, but the reality s that it DOES matter...a lot! I just have to figure out how to take care of my by myself; cook for me (not the junk food habit I have fallen in to) and make healthy choices ...

I have reached my high weight of 225 again; this is where I started in '09. Part of me feels like it doesn't matter anymore, but the reality s that it DOES matter...a lot! I just have to figure out how to take care of my by myself; cook for me (not the junk food habit I have fallen in to) and make healthy choices for me. This proves to be harder than it sounds sometimes, but the one thing I know is this; SparkPeople has everything I need and I need to rededicate myself.
I have re-set my pages, starting over, on this site as in my life; finding a new begining.
Goals for the next 3 months are as follows:
1.. Follow training program to build strength, stamina and endurance
2. eat nutritious meals fruits and vegetables
3. Track work-outs and nutrition.
4. Measure portions
5. Weigh NO MORE than twice a week

MY NAME IS EVELYN AND I LIVE IN THE MOUNTAINS OF NORTH CAROLINA. I'M A NURSE CASE MANAGER; PRIMARILY WITH BRAIN INJURY (BOTH TRAUMATIC AND NON TRAUMATIC). I REALLY LOVE MY JOB.
I HAVE ONE SON AND 3 GRANDCHILDREN. THEY MEAN THE WORLD TO ME!
I WANT TO BE AROUND TO PLAY WITH THEM, TEACH THEM AND LEARN FROM THEM! I WANT TO PASS ON A LEGACY OF HEALTHY AND FUN!
I'VE SPENT A LIFETIME OF UNHEALTHY HABITS AND I'M WORKING HARD TO TURN THAT AROUND. IT'S ALWAYS BEEN A STRUGGLE, BUT AFTER I BECAME SERIOUS ABOUT REACHING MY GOALS, AND IMPLEMENTING A PLAN FOR REACHING THEM IT'S BECOME MORE LIKE SECOND NATURE, A HABIT. FINALLY IN MY LIFE I HAVE DEVELOPED MORE HEALTHY HABITS AND I'M ENJOYING MY LIFE. I'M ABLE TO DO THINGS THAT I COULD ONLY DREAM ABOUT, AND I'M JUST GETTING STARTED! THERE IS SO MUCH MORE I PLAN TO DO. I AM SUCCEEDING! AND VERY HAPPY!
