Well, I thought I'd better be honest and update this. I did reach my goal weight in 2008! BUT the only problem is, I let life interfere, let my guard down, started feeling better and decided it was ok to start eating certain foods again, and then I got out of working out, and eating right, and well, you know where that leads. We've just had so much going on, but I need to somehow just make sure no matter what's happening around me, that I take care of myself. It's hard, but I sure hope to do that. It's so hard to care for others, when you don't feel well yourself.

We have a new son-in-law as of June 27. Our daughter, Sarah was married to Matthew Rose, and now they are expecting their first baby in May! On our anniversary! How cool is that??!! So, having two teens and babysitting kids and now a grandbaby to keep up with, I need to get in shape!

I finally reached my weight loss goal!! I was so shocked when I saw the scale, I almost thought it was broken! I have officially lost 52 pounds! LOL! I figure if I can stay between 134-140 I'll be fine.

I can't tell you how good I feel, about reaching my goal. I thought it would never happen at times. But the Lord was with me, my family has really supported me, and Spark People has been amazing, with all the support, tools, etc. I can't thank you all enough!! I never could have done this alone!!

My Goals:
My new goal is to get back to where I was, around 130-140. I want to stay within that range, as it's supposed to be about right for me, according to my dr.

My Program:
October 2009

I had gotten away from working out and eating right, and I'm fighting to get back on track!

*Doing Slim in Six Program now, and it's really good! Keeps you moving!!

*Back to drinking as much water as I can per day, too.

*Working on portion control again and not eating late at night.

Personal Information:
My name is Gwen, and I live in Central Nebraska. I call myself a "transplanted Texan" because I''m originally from Texas. I've been in NE for 22 years now.

I've been happily married to my dear husband, Brian for the same amount of time. We have 4 beautiful children; three biological (all of which we have homeschooled) and one adopted.

We work to serve the Lord in any way we can. I enjoy spending time with our family, our church, scrapbooking, walking, and many other things.

Other Information:
I try to keep remembering Phil. 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, which strentheneth me."

Congratulations once again on your magnificent weight loss. We're all partying for you (grin).

I see that you got to see Ernie Haase & Signature Sound!!

We had them at our church December 2006. They were quite something. My son-in-law and some of the grandsons got to eat with them and help set up their equipment and take up the tickets and seat people. They truly are an awesome group.

    Best to you,

Congratulations on reaching your goal! I started at about the same weight as you and my goal is to lose 50 pounds also, so seeing you reach your goal makes me feel like I can do it too!

Hey ! Thanks for the support in my blog, I really appreciate it. I work at a college in Vermont, as a live on professional (I have an apartment on campus) and as one of the benefits of the job, I get to use the fitness center without paying for it. One of my problems is, I'm fairly young and still look like a college student. I think the guy though he was talking to a college kid; which doesn't make what he said or did right, but it could explain it.

I would complain to the manager, but on the weekends, and afternoons during the week, it's monitored by student work study employees. No manager to complain to.

    Have a great weekend!

    :) Jess
