I lost weight before my wedding in 2012 but gained it back after quitting my job to recover from cancer. Now a full-time librarian and full-time doctoral student I don't have time to get off my butt much.

I'm also now pregnant! This means weight regain and concentrating on being healthy for more than just me.

Fitness Minutes: 23,390

My Goals:
My blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure and everything is all perfect, but I am looking to maintain my weight during pregnancy and then drop about 65lbs after giving birth (the amount I regained plus the remaining weight I had to lose from my original goal).


My Program:
I have increased my water intake to about 78-90oz per day and started eating more regularly. I have a habit of forgetting to eat and then just snacking to replace meals so this is an important part of my program. I meet with a bariatric clinic nutritionist for guided weight loss.

My guided weight loss includes no fluids while eating or 30 minutes after, mindful eating, calorie restriction, high protein, no carbonated beverages, and no caffeine. It also includes exercise, which I try to do 30-45 minutes of cardio 5 days per week, 30-45 minutes of resistance or strength training 2-3 days per week, and 40 minutes of a different exercise once per week. I also try to get in a 30-40 minute afternoon walk during my lunch break when the weather is suitable.



Personal Information:
I'm a 32 year old doctoral student in Nebraska. I love to cook for my friends and family, play video and board games, read, and watch Netflix with my cats.
