First big goal surpassed!!! 4 months of hard work and I weighed in this a.m (6/4/07) at 149.6!!! I never thought this would be possible!!!!!!!!!!

As of September 2007: I am maintaining with 1-2 pounds up and down on the scale...Maintaining is HARD! I find myself wanting to "snack" on certain foods and to nibble on stuff while cooking! I really want to lose another 10...So I am trying to get up the momentum to go for it!! Plus exercise!!!
*******UPDATE: March 24, 2008....Yikes, I am slowly gaining! My 8's are super duper tight and the flab is coming back with a vengance!! I fell off the wagon in my eating around Thanksgiving and it has taken me till now to re-commit. I just want to get back to 146 and MAINTAIN!! My 40th is coming up in 3 months, so that is my new goal! I CAN DO IT!! **************************************
As a 38 yr old stay at home mommy of 2. I have completed my first 24 week commitment and am re-commiting another 6 weeks to eating healthy and letting God transform my thinking about food and my body! Lowest weight ever was 132 when I was 24 and I felt fat! I am an emotional eater so the program I am on is very helpful...and to have the sparkpeople website is a BIG help!!

The sudden death of my very best friend woke me up from my unhealthy eating stupor. I am getting on board because and in honor of my best friend, Joe, of 25+years that suddenly passed away one year ago this Feb. 3, he was over 600pds. I know that if he were alive he would be my biggest cheerleader and I really wish I would have gotten onboard sooner, maybe it would have saved him...I lost over 40 pounds by his 40th bday which was June 18, 2007! What a gift!!!

I need to take control of my eating before it kills me!! I am learning something new everyday about all the crud we put in our bodies! It is mind boggling!!!! God has opened my eyes to the "root" of my weight problem and I am on the path to pulling it out for good!

I completed my goal but now it is the hard part MAINTAINING the weight loss and my new healthy eating habits!!! I will shoot for another 5-10 pounds but am NOT going to go crazy with it...I am looking forward to the day when it (food) is NOT my focus!!!

God + healthy eating=True you! It is very intense but I am feeling great!! No REFINED SUGARS OR PROCESSED stuff=NO Sugars, No Bread, No Pasta, No Desserts 1000-1200 calories a day and you have to weigh, measure and journal everything you eat. I can only weigh in every 6 weeks, so that is going to be hard!!

I am also doing a free online course through www.settingcaptivesfree.com called The Lord's Table
