Struggled with my weight most of my life. Now that I''''m a senior citizen with health problems it is even harder to start & maintain an exercise regimen. Also struggle with depression, so really struggle with motivation.
Am trying to maintain a positive outlook, and greet each day as a fresh start.

Sept 20th 2015 ... my 64th birthday.
SparkPeople has helped me get a new lease on life. In less than 3 months using information & tools on this site I''ve made some major changes in my lifestyle. I''m eating healthier than I ever have before & am enthusiastic about continuing to improve it. In fact I love how I eat now ... I actually enjoy & savor my food! Being conscious of my portions & eating slowly helps keep me from overeating. A side benefit is I''m losing weight!
I still have a long way to go to get my activity level up, but I''m taking that one step at a time just like with my eating. As my weight comes down, the exercise will be easier too.
