    welcome to sparkpeople. It is a wonderful site full of great people for inspiration, advice and gentle pushes from time to time. Remember to have patience with yourself. We all didn't gain our weight in a months so we certainly will not loose it in a month. I took 3 years to gain it so with the right choices of lifestyle changes I expect it to take at least a year to get healthy. Not skinny! Best of luck.

    You have some big goals and your in the right place. I haev a couple of ideas that might help in the way you think and when you want to give up think back and remember these. Vegg ies instead of not in addition to. Get creative and get the sugar out. Bob says it's OK to have desert.... Once a month pick your day carefully. Think nutrition not food that brings back fond memories. Make new memories of looking in the mirror. When I say, I hate this treadmill, I then think I can do this 1 mile. Maybe not the 2 I set out to do but I can do 1. Remember you are not alone. I also have to so you are looking good for 50. emoticon

    for help, support and friendship. emoticon
    We are all on the same journey.
    There is so much to learn and do here- take it slowly and don't get overwhelmed. Start at the start page (well, duh! but it took me a while to figure that out!)- you can get anywhere from there.
    I try to earn 100 sparkpoints a day- it's a good way to stay active.
    Are you tracking your nutrition yet? That's the best way to lose. emoticon
    Also, try to read a lot of success stories.
