I guess I should update this thing since I am not a "newly" single mommy anymore. ;)

My name is Katie and I am a FTWM to 3 beautiful little girls (7,4 1/2 and 2) that think I am kind of funny. I love the Lord and I love my girls. I just finished up a nasty little divorce that took 2yrs to get through. The pain was intense and at times I didn't think I could make it to the other side. Just when I wanted to give up I saw that light at the end of the tunnel and God reaching His hand out to pull me through.

I guess this is where we put our "AH-HA" moment as to how we made the connection. So, here it goes....

My motivaton... when you can't buckle your seat belt on an airplane and have to put your baby in your lap to hide it. When you can't sit in the seats at the movie theater comfortably. When you have to buy size 26 jeans. When you are 4lbs away from 300lbs. When you can't walk up your stairs without getting winded. When your kids tell you that their daddy's girlfriend is thinner than you now. When the feelings of being alone for the rest of your life set in. When you can't bare the sight of yourself in the mirror and you just cry and feel as if you shouldn't even live or go on.......

Then you see your girls starting your bad habits, your girls calling you fat, your girls wanting to know why they can't go outside to play, crying b/c they see me crying......

Knowing that you HAVE to do it for them, knowing that the only way out is up, knowing that this shadow of a woman is NOT what God intended me to be, knowing that unless I made some sacrifices and was willing to accept the honesty that someone dealt me that I would be consumed by the same frustrations for the rest of my life.....

I made the change. I sacrificed my life in order to have a life again.

That is where my motivation comes from. Not from revenge, although that would be my cherry ontop ;)

My Goals:
To finally FINISH what I have half started for a few years now....

Become a happy, healthy and successful mommy to my girls!

To show my girls what it's like to have self confidence that exudes through your soul and to know that no one can take away their hopes and dreams. EVER!

My Program:
Joined a gym.
Got a personal trainer.
Bought a Body Bugg.
Make healthier choices.

I love my Bugg because I have the personal freedom in that I am not on a diet; but a lifestyle change. Heck, it works for me and I run with it...well, maybe leasurly jog at this point; but I WILL run eventually ;)

*** edited to say: I AM RUNNING now!!! I is MORE fufilling than I had imagined. I knew the urge to run had a reason behind it.

Personal Information:
I have not always been a fatty so to say. I got married at 19 and had my 1st baby at 21. I had 3 babies in less than 5yrs. I just loved being a wife and a mother and with that happiness came my overindulgence in food. I gained 121lbs and lost track of my once athletic nature.

Other Information:
I used to play college volleyball and rec soccer. I hope to get back to my athletic life I once left behind to follow a guy.

I love to hang with my friends, scrapbook, and read.
