I am 57 yrs old. Married and need to lose a lot of weight. I have been at this for 2 months but wish I had some others that were doing the same as me. Learning how to connect to others out there. Today someone made me smile. I hope I can do that for others as well. God is good.
I have been here now for 9 months and have come a long way. I am down over 100 pounds with more to lose. It doesnt seem as easy as it was but I am still going on with my journey.

I have been here now for 9 months and have come a long way. I am down over 100 pounds with more to lose. It doesnt seem as easy as it was but I am still going on with my journey.
I have tried three times to update this.
This is the last time I am going to try. Wow I sound like a quitter. Maybe I need to rethink this.
I am still proud to say that I have kept off 152 pounds. And that has been a job all in its self
September of 17 I was diagnosed with lung cancer. I was going to have surgery in December. I chose December so that I could do everything I had committed to. In October I was having trouble swallowing and was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. That was October 26th. I started chemo and Radiation simultaneously. It was not fun but I was done with that by December 20. I then had to build back up my strength and gain some weight. I put on 30 pounds. February 13 I went to U of M and had my esophagus removed. I lost the 30 pounds real easy but life is so different. I can't eat like I use to. I have a lot of trouble with foods. I tell you its like I can't eat what is good for me. I have to be very careful about eating much fiber. Raw veggies and some fruit. I am adjusting to life, living this way and I am very grateful to be alive. I was resting in God's arms and I don't see how it can get much better than that.
I am to maintain this weight for now. The healing time is one year. That is almost forever but I will do it for life. When I think of all the hard work I did to get healthy I have to say it was a blessing. I am not sure they would have done the surgery with my weight so high.
Life is good. I'm gaining strength everyday. I am a super napper. I get lots of rest.
To all of you, this is another example how wonder our God is.
Keep on your journey it is so worth it. Love the ones you are with.

My Goals:
I would like to weigh around 180 pounds.
My Program:
I am logging everything, eating everything I want but limiting it to much smaller proportion size and it has to fit into my daily calorie range. I do not have "cheat days" I feel that to cheat is cheating me and that I do not need. If I go over my calories, I do so knowingly and limit that as well. I am also exercising as much as 7 days a week or as little as 5. I walk at least 10,000 steps each day.
Personal Information:
My glass is half full. God is always good.
Other Information:
Never give up.
