When I grow up, I want to be an old woman.

The kind of tough-as-nails, heart-of-gold adventurous old woman who is completely unstoppable.

That's not going to happen unless 45 year old me gets out of my comfort zone and starts living that way and building those habits right now.

So here I am. Last time around, I reached my goals by pushing. This time I am after sustainable change, so it will be slow and in flow.

Conjure something glowing
Take this day
You were born with hands for spinning
Talent for dreams and making them real

Roll the hours like yarn
Spin something that makes you feel full
And big and open to talk

Make this day your own square
In your own life quilt
So shining it brightens the whole of your years
This far
Make this day like one of God's seven.

My Goals:
I am going to get fitter than I have ever been before - and I am going to make it my way of life for the future.

Under 100 kgs - Bike clothes

Under 95 kgs - A stand-up paddleboard

Under 90 kgs - A gorgeous dress from Holy Clothing

Under 85 kgs -

Under 80 kgs -

Under 75 kgs -

Under 70 kgs -

My Program:
Water, water and more water; eating low carb real foods; exercise every day.

Personal Information:
Schelle...late 40s Aussie Leo... a frazzled mother, of three challenging free-thinkers... married to one much larger challenge of a wonderful man... Catholic, crafty, with literary pretensions... legal beagle... wannabe perfectionist with self-sabotaging tendencies.... I think that says it all!

Other Information:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some; it is in everyone.

And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Yeah, I was working out on carpet, with a towel over. I just can't get over the difference. Because the surface is firm, grippy and comfortable you can have really good form, and workout harder!

Ah yeah! My kids LOVE the Rumjacks, particularly the Plantin' o' Kitty Randall. They just go off! I love them too, luckily! They're an awesome live gig, and they go all over the place. Check out their fb or myspace pages for gig details if you're into it.

Good luck on the taxation law.....sounds horrific. You might need a post traumatic stress debrief after....;)

3.7kg this month??? Awesome!! Obviously you're working hard and doing really well, even with all that's on your plate! What a great effort.

emoticon Welcome to your Class Team! I'm so glad that you've chosen SparkPeople as the place to shed those excess pounds. There are wonderful tools here for you to take advantage of. There is a ton of support from all the folks here. So many teams to select from.

Be sure to post your questions, concerns, and needs as well as your celebrations. You won't be the only one here with the same issues. And someone will have the answer. Or know where to go to get it. Use your Class Team to ask questions you wouldn't post any place else. No judgments. Everyone is learning here! And we've set up a game room in the event you'd just like to have some fun and stay out of the kitchen. Make the most of your journey here!

So glad you are with us!

Hi! I'm an Aussie mum/student as well. I'm doing my PhD at ANU, and I have two girls - 2 and 4. It's hard to fit it all in, isn't it? Look forward to seeing you around!
