I started teaching 5 years ago and have gained a TON of weight since beginning. When I worked in an office, I subsisted on coffee all day, so I didn't feel like eating. Once I got into the classroom, I figured I'd be so busy that I still wouldn't feel like eating. How wrong was I!? I was definitely busy! Breaks were few and far between and I found myself eating whatever I could, on the run because who knew when another opportunity would come? I also turned to eating to help me with all the stress I was top it off, I spent every waking second at school, and took no time out for me. So this year, I've decided that in order to be the teacher I want my students to have, I *have* to take time for me and get healthy.

My Program:
I'm starting a HalfMarathon training program...not sure which yet, but something that will prepare me to at least finish!

Strength Train 3x a week at home using Spark People strength exercises and Bootcamp videos.

Take a tip from God, and rest on Sunday. Sunday shall be reserved for planning and/or fishing!

Personal Information:
I am a teacher in beautiful Colorado. I teach third and fourth grade at a charter school designed for gifted and other creative learners. I adore my profession, my school, and my students, but I tend to work too hard and not take or make enough time for me. I love to read, but that has fallen by the wayside as well. I enjoy the "runner's high" that comes with running a race and I'm learning to shush the voices in my head that tell me I can't do things. I'm finding that I *CAN* do anything I put my mind to!
