Hi everyone!! Thanks for stopping by my Spark Page. This page was overdue for a change up since I have been a member here for many years and through several different plans. So, here goes...

Back in 2012 I started a new path to wellness. It is one that has worked and that I have stuck with for almost 2 years now. It is working because I just decided that I was never, never, never going to quit trying. That's it. Just changing the attitude and deciding to stop quitting has actually worked for me.

I am a slow loser. When I say slow, I mean rrrreeeeeaaallllyyy slow. I was diagnosed with PCOS and hypothyroid years ago. I have insulin resistance and several other challenges. But, I really try not to use those things as an excuse. It serves no purpose. One day I had a little epiphany. I have things in my life that have come to me pretty easily. Weight loss is never going to be one of those things. I have to fight for every inch and every pound. That is just life.

I have other things that do come easily to me and I should be grateful for those things. But, I find that the things you have to really work hard at are the things you appreciate more once you have achieved them. So, until then I just keep putting one foot in front of the other and continue on the path.

There is no start/finish line anymore. It is more like a leisurely walk along the beach. So, I have taken my running shoes off and traded them in for flip flops. I splash a little, let the sand get between my toes and sometimes I stop to look at seashells. I take time to savor the sunrises and sunsets. Maybe someday I'll be able to trade in my tankini for a bikini. But, honestly it isn't my biggest priority at this time. Right now, I am happy just walking along the shore at whatever pace is comfortable and for however long it takes.
