*Update* 5-30-11 I'm back on Spark (5-6 weeks in now), and recommitting myself to changing my life. I seem to come here in one year cycles and do well for 2-3 months, then disappear back into my old ways again. I am BREAKING the cycle!! I know I can't do it alone, and this time around my husband has really been working on his health too so that really encourages me to keep going at it, but I could always use some if you're game I'd love to be friends! :) Best wishes to all of you on your journey! *from April 2009* - The time has come for a new beginning. The start of a healthy life where I don't feel ashamed of my body, where I don't eat to satisfy my emotions, and where I don't count household chores as actual exercise. My Goals:
~*~May 2011~*~
To get healthy first and foremost.

To shed the unwanted lbs - looking to hit and maintain in the 140s, once I get there that goal may change, but that's my overall aim at this time.

Conquer my bad eating habits and learn to appreciate healthier food options.

Lower my cholesterol!! Eek! :(

Work diligently on my ability to jog so that I can run a 5k sometime next year.

My Program:
I'm having issues with my eating, so for now I am trying to focus on getting my water in and eating more fruits and veggies as well as staying within my calorie goals each day - sometimes I bomb, but I keep trying, and I know I'll get it eventually. Afterall, I didn't become an emotional eater with bad snacking habits overnight, so it will take time to repair the damage and change my way of thinking.

As for exercise, I am doing cardio at least 5x a week and strength training 2-3x a week. I plan to add some yoga in eventually to try to work on flexibility. :)

4/20/09 - 189lbs
-bmi - 29.6 - overweight :(

Current Weight:(5-28-11)
(bouncing between 176/178 so going with the higher number)
-bmi- 27.9

Goal weight: 145
-bmi- 22.7 NORMAL!
