I've done this all before. I've gained and lost weight my entire adult life. I really thought I had it all figured it out, but I was wrong. After finally finding the love of my life, at the same time I found a blood clot (mid thigh to mid calf, and 5 clots in my lungs). I've gained all the weight I had lost, plus some..
My diet changed dramatically since finding the blood clot and love. I went from eating all the fruits and veggies I could get my hands on, to being limited to what I could eat because of medication I was on, to also being with a man who eats whatever he wants, whenever he wants, and it's not always the fruits and veggies I craved. Since, I was limited on what I was able to eat for a year, I ate what was considered "safe" food, which did not do anything for my waste line or my self esteem. I'm here, about to turn 40 in a few months, and I want to be the best me I can possibly be.

My Goals:
exercise 3 days a week to get back into it, but then increase to a minimum of 5 days.

Run a 5K by the fall of 2013, and then attempt to run a half marathon in 2014

My Program:
Get myself to the gym, or take advantage of the summer daylight and get out for walks and then runs.
I have followed the run/walk program before, and I plan on doing that again.

Personal Information:
I am an East Coaster living on the West Coast. I have no regrets of leaving the North East, but I do miss the changing of the leaves and crisp air of the North East in the Fall.
