Getting Fit in my 50's
This is my 2nd time around here at Spark...I lost a 100# and kept it off for nearly 3 years, but then fell back into old habits
Since then, I've developed more health issues, but now I'm a new 'Grammy' and want to have lots more years to enjoy my grandchildren & feel good doing it!

Fitness Minutes:

My Goals:
Immediate Goals: Track Daily
Exercise 30 minutes daily
Weigh Weekly
Lose 2-3#/week
Run/Walk a 5K by my March birthday
Long-Range Goals:
drop 5 pant sizes
fit into my 'dream dress' again
be fit n healthy with good BP/cholesterol & sugar levels
Hike 8-13 mile loop by year's end
Kayak 20 miles by October
Be down 100# by New Year's 2016!!!
My Program:
Today is 'get Sparked' day...
I'll track food/keep calories within 1200 to 1500 daily
Biggest hurdle is getting back to the gym-SO, I'll initially go 3 times weekly and work up to 5 with cardio/strength training
Personal Information:
One would think that by now I would have developed healthy habits to last a lifetime, but I've gone in spurts...
With one grandchild and one on the way, I definitely want to be an 'active' granny, so I'm back at it!
Other Information:
Baby-steps...in the movie 'What About Bob', that's how the Dr. advises progress, so here goes!
