... So the title is just the song that was playing on itunes at the time. I hit shuffle and it originally landed on something... a little less than appropriate for this site.

Anyway- Hello! I'm a student majoring in English minoring in communication and psychology. I think I'm probably about 200 pounds but I have no scale and with Christmas and the new semester coming up I have not money to buy one. I'll find out how much I weigh in a few months at my endocrinologist appointment (hypothyroid). While I'm home for winter break I plan on eventually stealing away my mom's measuring tape and taking my measurements.

I just want to become fit and stay healthy. My blood pressure and pant size have been creeping up. I want to avoid the type II diabetes and heart disease that my grandmother has. And I want to fit into cute clothes. I have no illusions of my body ever looking nice but I want to be able to look nice in clothes at least.

My Goals:
To lose about 75 pounds
To become/remain healthy
To become fit!
To live a long life :)

My Program:
I've "attempted" to lose weight before. By attempted I mean, I thought to myself, "I'm going to lose weight!" and never did anything about it at all. Not this time. So I'm starting out slowly. I'm tracking my food (which tends to make me think about it and make better choices). However, at this point, tracking is just to see where I am usually at and what my problems are.

I am also walking for exercise. I tried running but found it was just too much for me at this point. Someday I'll work up to it! So I'm walking (at an exercise pace, mind!). I also play tennis. As soon as I get back to my apartment I'll add strength training (which I've always loved) and yoga.

Personal Information:
I love to read, watch movies, go to the theater, go to museums. I'm hoping to start going to those places more often, because I enjoy them but never seem to make time. So... that's actually another goal of mine! Only it isn't strictly weight related.

Other Information:
Don't judge me too harshly on this page. I'm not checking for grammar. Perhaps I'll edit it someday, but more than likely not.
