I forgot to comment back to you the other day! I was working with a specialist for my IBS but I didn't particularly like his approach. I had trouble with the diets he gave me and he didn't ask why or try to tweak anything. He refused to test me for a common cause of IBS (the research on it is kind of new but very solid but his answer was very "old school"). I also feel silly going to him because I don't always take my prescription because if I do, it works a little *too well* if you know what I mean? So I feel dumb going to him like "I don't take my medicine because it makes me feel crappy but I also haven't changed my diet". I am going to give myself a few more months and then decide about seeing the doctor again (maybe a new one?).

Changes I can make: Small meals, no raw veggies, less grains, chew my food, lower carb intake.

So much I could do and all so challenging! But I'll get there. At least I've learned a ton over the last year because of things that my doctor tried/said/etc. One day, I'll be symptom free!

I don't think my goals for February were overly ambitious really, I was just too sick to finish them. I am cutting back on a few though just in case it happens again! :) The new ones I had come up with sounded good at the time but when I reviewed them, they were thrown out for being too over the top. This happens every month though, I start with a long list and go back and cut them all out. LoL

Thank you for the very thoughtful comment on my blog! Enjoy those thank'you's from the 13yo. Precious times.

I see you have a pitty. We do, too. He's an American Pit and Boxer mix. He's the silliest dog we've ever had. Such great pets!

Haha It is just another word for stock. Basically, it is made with the bones so you get the collagen from them (that stuff that makes your stock/broth gelatinize in the fridge). I couldn't remember if the regular term was stock or broth so I just went with the trendy buzzword "bone broth" - according to Mr. Google, it is confusing...
I only cooked mine for 2 hours using chicken legs, but in the pressure cooker. I wanted to cook it for 24 hours in the crock pot but we apparently haven't unpacked that yet! So, I made a pseudo broth/stock.

But I digress... it is really good for your gut health!!! Plus, oh so delicious. Am I the only one who likes drinking chicken broth? LoL
