Designer by trade, life long student by choice, self-labeled foodie (but not the snobish type), mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and divorcee.

Interests include use of technology in the workplace and home, psychology, cooking, photography, multi-media arts, and living a healthy, balanced life.

I finally broke down and set my acheivable 10% weight loss goal. Originally, I was aiming for 195 lbs. but from the pace that I'm losing, I needed to readjust my goal to make it appear more acheivable.

Healthy goals:
-"lower" carb
- Meatless Monday
- Establish good health habits
- Realize that good health is not a race, it's a process and a life style

My Goals:
My overall goal is to reach 175 lbs. Until then, I'm aiming for a 10% loss.

Goal #1 - 220 lbs.
Goal #2 - 209 lbs.
Goal #3 - 198 lbs.
Goal #4 - 188 lbs.
Goal #5 - 178 lbs.

My Program:
Taking a low-carb approach to weight loss. After reading a study from Pennington Medical Center, I learned that it does not matter what method you use as long as you consume less calories and move a lot more.

This approach words for me because I am not hungry all of the time, I have less headaches, and my cravings are reduced.

Personal Information:
A Mississippi native, currently live in Baton Rouge, LA with my precious little girl and spend lots of time exploring the local area from New Orleans and to the Gulf Coast.

Other Information:
I enjoy southern culture, photography, cooking, writing, and reading books. My favorite activities at the gym include zumba, spinning, yoga, and body pump style classes.
