Weight has always been a struggle for me, but never more so than the post college years. I allowed 60 hour work weeks at a stressful job to dictate an unhealthy diet and little to no exercise. I didn't feel good about myself and ended up anxious and depressed. I've made some healthful changes over the last few years, the first being leaving my high-stress job for a similar job that I enjoy with a much better schedule! I've been trying to cook healthful meals and exercise more, but it's so easy to slip up and reach for a candy bar or other hight fat, high carb, high whatever food when I'm feeling down or stressed. I haven't been very successful at going it alone...and then a friend of mine said she had joined SparkPeople. I got online at home and checked it out, but still wasn't feeling that I was ready to make a committment and so kept going on my own. Well, it's time....I need something and someone to help hold me accountable and I'm ready to give SP a shot. I'm looking forward to hitting my high school weight again and being able to go shopping for something other than shoes and have it be a positive experience! In 2010 it's time to be thin again!!

I live in the boondocks of rural PA (and love it!) with my husband and my very spoiled beagle, Buddy. I'm 26 years old and enjoy reading, watching tv, and spending time with family and friends. I live for peace and quiet and love nothing more than a rainy day with nothing to do but read a good book or watch a movie. Sounds like a pretty generic life, right!?! Well sometimes uneventful is good!
