"In my rearview mirror, my life is getting clearer...the sunset sighs and slowly disappears..."

Well, 2010 has disappeared and I took a look back in my rearview mirror to see exactly what I accomplished in 2010. According to the goals I set on SP I accomplished only one thing: completed my first 10k....but not just any 10k...I completed the "Toughest Bridge Run in the South"...and that is accomplishing a lot.

I've been married to the love of my life for almost 17 years...he is my biggest cheer leader. We have two wonderful children, who are 10 and 8 at the time I am writing this. We are business owners, who have, at times, held on by a thin thread. We have a beautiful home and live in what I call my own personal slice of heaven. In December 2007 I decided it was time to get healthy and lose weight. I started at 216 lbs. In November of 2008 I joined SP and weighed in at about 178. I've been a member of SP for over 2 yrs now and my weight has stayed within the 173-185 range. At best, I have been in this mediocre, half hearted zone. But not anymore.

2011 is the year I say farewell to mediocrity. Uh-Bye-Bye!! Don't let the door hit you on the way out! It is not in my nature to be mediocre. I have always been the "go get 'em" kind of person. But at about the time I joined SP in 2008 I was at the beginning of letting life take over and beat me...In the last few months, I have really realized that I am stronger than that and my God is bigger than that!

So no more whining! Just doing. No more excuses. Just solutions...and at the beginning of 2012 when I update my page---you are going to see a new person!

To weigh less than my husband. --Goal Met!!! 18Aug2011

To run the Savannah River Bridge Run 10k (again) and beat my time from 2010. Planned for 03Dec2011

To run my first ever 1/2 Marathon in November of 2011! (YIKES) Planned for 05Nov2011

To lose 38 lbs by
September 30th. --almost there as of 22Sep2011

To feel good about myself no matter what my circumstances.

My Program:
Strength training 3-4 days a week.

30-45 minutes of cardio at least 5 days a week.

Tracking my progress daily.

Personal Information:
I live in the Hilton Head, SC area with my husband and two children. I've been happily married for almost 17 years (and during that time I have NEVER weighed less than my husband). We own a business together and stay very busy. I love to work out (something new for me) and I love to spend time with family and friends.

Other Information:
I'm a huge TWILIGHT fan. But otherwise I love to read just about anything.

I study the Bible on my own and with others.

My favorite thing to do is relax in the sun with a good book and spend time with the family.

    I know I cam. And I'm truly ashamed of the lack of progress I have made lately. I need to figure a lot of things out. But with the warmed weather, daylight savings, and summer approaching, I'm hoping that positive things will come from it. :) I miss you too & absolutely cannot wait to see you!

    Turkey Meatload muffins:

    The glaze on the fish I just mixed honey and balsamic till it looked good. LOL And for the pizza, I eyeballed everything. :-P
