Hi! I am a full time student, part time nanny, dog owner, American living in Berlin, Germany. I have been here since January 2009 and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. I struggle to lose weight due to PCOS and tried following a low carb diet with no avail. I also suffer from Adult ADD which started as Adolescent ADD and I take Concerta 54mg once a day to treat it. The Concerta suppresses my appetite quite drastically so I have to work hard to make sure I get enough calories to avoid going into starvation mode. I am working on setting timers to remind me to eat, drinking high calorie, high protein shakes during the day since my body will not let me eat much when I am on the meds and moving slowly to my long term goal of being ready for a bikini again by next summer.

My Goals:
I would like to lose 30 kg by next summer. I want to feel comfortable in my clothes and be able to buy things that are in fashion rather than things that fit. I want to be able to shop in my favorite stores again. I want to wear a bikini. I want to feel confident so other people will notice me. I would like not to have to take medicine to control my PCOS, but to lose weight as a treatment instead. I would like to eat healthier, cook more and enjoy what I eat while still losing weight

My Program:
I suffer from ADD and I take Concerta to treat it. Concerta is stimulant and some people have severe appetite suppression as a side effect. I am one of those people. I eat a larger, more calorie rich meal of veggies, bread and fatty cheeses in the morning. Then I take my pill. I drink a protein shake about 5 hours later. Then as my medicine is beginning to wear off (it works for about 10-14 hours depending on the day and my metabolism) then I eat a yogurt to keep my blood sugar up. If the medicine wears off at the right time, I yeat a nice sized dinner of a salad, a protein and a small serving of carbs. The breakfast and the dinner are usually about 600 calories each. The protein shake is about 200 and the yogurt 100 so I end up with a 1500 calorie a day plan. In order to achieve this I have to set timers reminding me to drink the shake and eat the yogurt. My body will not tell me to eat when I am on the medication. If I don't do this and I only get breakfast in, then I run the risk of

Personal Information:
I am American, but I live in Germany and will probably stay here after I finish my university studies. I am studying to be an English teacher and should finish my bachelors degree in July 2012, my masters in July 2013, and my student teaching by July 2014, with a plan to be teaching full time by the 2014-2015 school year.

Other Information:
I am a huge Audrey Hepburn fan, as well as a big fan of Tiffany and Co stores. I collect pictures of myself standing in front of Tiffany's stores in the cities I have visited. I love to travel and I have traveled quite a bit since moving to Europe. Ich spreche auch Deutsch, eigentlich fast den ganzen Tag :-)
