New to this! I just came on SparkPeople May 2009. My mother and sister had been doing this and I was looking for a way to keep track of what I was eating and how many calories I was burning. I have been bad about writing them down in various notebooks then loosing it or keeping track on my computer then just failing to update. So, this time I have my SparkPeople set to automatically open when I access the internet (which I do often in the day). This helps remind me to keep track of things.

All my life I had been a tiny person barely touching 100 pounds. I am 5'2. After my last pregnancy, I found myself at 170 pounds!!! 6 years later, I had worked myself back down to 125 pounds and was happy but began having severe abdominal swelling. I have been fighting it for the last 6 years. Doctors are unsure what it causing it. So I am in a constant fight to be 125 pounds. But I WILL DO IT!!

I am not limiting myself. I am simply choosing better. If I want something, I eat it but eat less of it.

I have a goal to run every day after work. I am starting by power walking, working up to jogging, then working my way into a full run.

I am a 37 year old mother of 7 boys in a blended family. I am engaged to be married to the most loving man I have ever met. I am a college professor by day and a band manager by night so I stay fairly busy.
