I've been a member for two years now. I did very well for about a year and lost weight and was getting in shape then needed to limit my workouts to certain ones due to medical reasons. From working out three to four times a week. I completely stopped!! Some of the pounds found there way back and I realized that I had just given up and was given an excuse to do it. My eight week recovery period ends on Thursday, July 11th. No more excuses, no more giving up. Yes, I will be limited to what I can for the first few weeks of working out but that does not mean that " I can't work out". I'm tired of being the "big" girl and the person that people joke about since I have always been the "big" girl in my family. My 20th reunion is also coming up next year and I would love to be able to walk in being fit and healthy. One of my classmates had made a comment when we were in middle school that I should try out for cheerleading since there is always one "big" girl. That comment has haunted me for years and walking in the room fit and healthy would surely bring closure. Changing my habits will not be easy but I am determined to do it. I have always made execuses why I couldn't do it or quit because that is what I have done all my life but no more. I need to set a good example for my kids and I owe it to myself to do this, to be the best that I can be.
