Hey All! Just joined the Winter 5% challenge.

This time will be harder, since I've lost so much weight already. But I'm gonna try my hardest to make it. I plan on exercising 5-6 days a week for 30 minutes to an hour. At least 2 days will be strength and at least 2 will be cardio. I'll be sticking to my low carb diet, but not follow any "plan." I'm all set up and ready to go. To lose this weight.

My fiance and I will officially try for baby #1 (and probably only) this summer. We have our first infertility consultation on May 14th at Emory, which has one of the highest success rates in the country. There will probably be several doctors visits, so I doubt that I'll be pregnant by my 31st birthday in July, but I'm keeping positive, any step towards a baby is a good step.
Unless I have liposuction, I won't make my goal weight of 160 by May for the first consultation. I am still trying hard to lose weight, and my new goal is to get down to 178 before our appointment. That's 10 pounds in just 7.5 weeks. At the very least, I'd like to make it to 179.
To help me meet my goals I will continue: follow the recommended caloric intake provided by sparkpeople and include more vegetarian dishes; cutting back on simple carbs and increase low GI foods (this has been hard, but my fiance is joining me now and I hope that will make it easier). I also want to increase low caloric proteins.
At this point in time, I know that I will celebrate my 31st birthday healthier than my 30th. On my 30th birthday I weighed in at 210, I'm down to 187. And that number is going to keep going down so long as I exercise and eat right.

Oh no we were engaged for about a year and a bit before we booked the venue. We saw a whole bunch of places. Both my husband and I are terrible at decision making lol. We kept running into the problem where we couldn't seriously look into any wedding details like the cake and flowers and stuff until we had a wedding date. We didn't have a date in mind so we were letting the officiate and the venue dictate it but we found that without one or the other, it was impossible to sort out the date! We were talking about moving up the wedding and just getting everything done sooner rather than later when I went back to that venue's website and saw the sell-off date. We had about 6 months from that point to coordinate the rest of the details.

In lots of ways, it's great to have the date and some things booked a year in advance but for us, we were only stressed out and running all over the place for wedding stuff over those 6 months. It was like we were worried about everything working out for a shorter time lol.

They are dates that the venue couldn't book and are offered at a reduced rate. Our venue had the sell off dates listed and we just picked one. We figured that we needed to either book a venue or an officiate so that we'd have a date to work with. Everything hinges on the damned date! lol

Our venue was a fantastic deal. 40 bucks a person including alcohol and decorations...also, it was a 4 course meal and the food was great!

Cool! I actually didn't see anything there that you missed. It was a very comprehensive list of questions! Let me know if you have any October wedding related questions :)

We got a sell-off date at our venue which is the reason we ended up choosing it over others. It had been one of the ones we liked and was reasonably priced but we were still looking when we saw their website had listed 2012 sell-off dates for a fantastic price!

I will say that the place we went to did the decorating and with all the vendors we were already coordinating (cake, photography, florist, ect.) it was nice not to have to coordinate one more.
