Hi. After 22 years of slowly piling it on I have decided to get healthier for me. For the last five years I've got worse and worse as life got to me. I'm climbing out of depression and decided I'd like to get back to being myself again and enjoying life for myself. That means getting healthy again. I'm blessed with three lovely grown children, a devoted partner and some other wonderful familly and friends. I'd like to enjoy them for a few years more. I suffer many physical ailments, nearly all related to morbid obesity. On the good side I've improved my fitness dramatically over the last year. (Only because it was so bad.)
14/nov.07 Three months into Spark. I've cut out diet soda alltogether(from 2 litresa day), drink at least 2 litres H20 every day. Eat at least 2 pieces fruit a day (from 0) and increased vegie intake dramatically. Increased fibre intake. Still binge occasionally when I get depressed, but overall I'm much more happy and positive. Do 10-20 mins stretch and exercise a day - very mild but it's a start. Am doing some walking and swimming..

Hi Karen Sorry I have been MIA, but a lot has happened in the last 3 months, and I was having a problem dealing with it. Thankfully I can say that I did not turn to food during this trying time. Have to admit though thes last 4-5 weeks hubby started bringing home my weakness...ice cream drumsticks!!, put on a couple of pounds, and asked him to please stop the treats. So I is back on track for me. Email me please Take care hugs n tugs

Hey! Welcome! I am like you with a lot of weight to loose. I have found support here. Without it, I wouldn't be able to keep on track.. I hope you find this site as helpful. It is very hard to loose weight once it passes a certain point I think. Still, it is not impossible. If we can make it day by day, there is surely to be an end in sight. The weight will come off! It is fast to put on and hard to come off... But, we can get rid of the weight if we just stick to the diet, exercise, and get such good support...Good luck with your weight loss goals...and once again, WELCOME!
