Hi. After 22 years of slowly piling it on I have decided to get healthier for me. For the last five years I've got worse and worse as life got to me. I'm climbing out of depression and decided I'd like to get back to being myself again and enjoying life for myself. That means getting healthy again. I'm blessed with three lovely grown children, a devoted partner and some other wonderful familly and friends. I'd like to enjoy them for a few years more. I suffer many physical ailments, nearly all related to morbid obesity. On the good side I've improved my fitness dramatically over the last year. (Only because it was so bad.)
14/nov.07 Three months into Spark. I've cut out diet soda alltogether(from 2 litresa day), drink at least 2 litres H20 every day. Eat at least 2 pieces fruit a day (from 0) and increased vegie intake dramatically. Increased fibre intake. Still binge occasionally when I get depressed, but overall I'm much more happy and positive. Do 10-20 mins stretch and exercise a day - very mild but it's a start. Am doing some walking and swimming..

My Goals:
I need to start losing weight.Stop binging and putting it on every time I'm depressed.

My Program:
Keep fat down 20-30%, protein up 20-30% (Ideally 25% each)
Have 16-2000cals a day.
Stretch at least 10 minutes once a day, strength training 15 mins daily
Swim or Walk 20mins 3Xwk
Daily log on food.

I'm 51. Live in Australia, near the coast just north of Brisbane. Divorced Have 3 grown children and been with SO 10 yrs

    Thank you for you response. My child is doing good..He now has a wonderful councelor that he is now pulling her into her world. I am sorry I did not read you were in Aus.     Hi Karen, thanks for your comment on my page! I made you one of my first two friends on here. : ) I didn't do the artwork, no; I originally had family pictures up, and then for some reason got a little uncomfortable with that so I decided to put up copies of some favorite artwork. The top two are by Maxfield Parish; they used to be quite popular as posters. The bottom one is a watercolor made from a photograph by an artist named Gerry Weintraub. I have ridden that train along the southern California coast and it's really beautiful in real life, too, especially at sunset.
