    Thanks for the comment on my blog. I also worked in HR for several years but I worked for a partnership and I think things were a lot more people-centered than they can be in corporate America. BUT I agree, she is being harassed and they are also not taking her situation into consideration. It's been quite a few years but back in my day we HAD to make accommodations for people with handicaps and while I know pregnancy isn't exactly a handicap, it certainly creates special needs.

    She has been to HR and they have not been very helpful. It seems they are asking her to file for FMLA to be used as additional bathroom time - seems pretty ridiculous to me. But now that she has had this incident AND she has the ER report, perhaps they will take this situation more seriously.

    I think it's a pretty sad situation when a company as well known as Medtronic has a division that is so rigid! All I can do is sit back and hope she figures out how to deal with it. I appreciate your insight!
