I resolved this year to become the best me possible.

I will turn 25 this year. I guess that has scared me into finally setting some goals. I need to get my mind and body right, and I guess now is the time.

I’ve got a lot of things going for me this year, so it’s time to get all my ducks in a row!

I've been overweight since I was 5 years old. I hit the obese mark while I was still in elementary school. People have tried to motivate me to lose weight, but it never clicked until this past year. I never really realized that the me on the inside is not the me on the outside. I have so many different things I want to accomplish in my life, so many people I want to meet, so many things I want to see. I cannot let this be the end for me. It is the beginning.

I've lost about 80 pounds since I started my new lifestyle in January. I've lost over 100 pounds from my heaviest back in July of 2011. I'm still 100 pounds from goal, but I just gotta keep going strong!

My Goals:
I have too many goals to list!

My Program:
Some people would call my plan, "Calorie Counting" but that seems to really simplify my program.

Things I do:

*Eat a ton of vegetables
*Monitor my caloric intake and limit it depending on my daily activity
*Eliminate salt from my cooking
*Eat breakfast everyday
*Eat everything in moderation
*Limit my sweets
*Exercise for 30 Minutes to 1 1/2 hours six days a week.

Things I DON'T do:
*Eat after 7 PM
*Eat red meat (with the exception of lean steak)
*Drink soda
*Skip meals
*Have cheat days

Personal Information:
I am from the beautiful midwest state of Missouri. Kansas City is my hometown. I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting.

I work for an awesome media company and also co-own my own production company. I'm in the middle of producing my first full-length documentary.

I have good friends, a cheap apartment, smart cat, and supportive family. I am abundantly blessed and I'm trying to make the best of the gifts I've been given. I've wasted too much of my life being obese (20 of my nearly 25 years), and I'm looking forward to the future as a healthier, happier me.

    Thanks for commenting on my blog and remembering my earlier rant about running. I still don't consider myself a runner, but fell I'm working up to it. Hopefully all my moveable parts will continue to cooperate. I guess the last 9 months were spent strengthening those parts and increasing cardio capacity. How are you doing? You've been so quiet!

    I am doing well, but trying to stay out of that 'vacation' mindset. I was out of town for almost 3 weeks and brought my sister back here. Thankfully I have been able to get in some workouts with my trainer this week. :) I completed another 5k while I was out of town and it felt good to complete it faster than before. I'm still pretty slow, but getting there! :) are YOU doing?! :)
