I've always been the kind of person who sets a goal, lays out the steps to get there and checks them off as they get done. And it's always worked. I've been successful in every area of my life except this one. Enough is enough. AroundThanksgiving I hit the 300 lb mark--at just over 6 feet tall I told myself I carried it well...then I saw a photo. NOT! It's time I get serious about my health, weght and appearance. I've lost 10 but I find myself losing my motivation as well...not wanting to go to the gym in the morning, emotional eating, munching in front of the TV at night, grabbing fast food and eating in the car....all the wrong stuff. Just discovered sparkpeople and as I'm all for accountability and support. I'm in!! I think this is exactly what I need. Now I just need to find the time to do start the documenting and maintain all of the info. So.....spark page, check.

My Goals:
First Goal is to let go of the 50 lbs I've agined over the past 5 years. Eat better, exercise regularily and stay motivated. Keeping it realistic makes the most sense to me.

My Program:
Trying to make it to the gym 4 days a week at 5am.

Not eating junk in the car on the run.

Drink lots of water.

It's a start............

Personal Information:
Living and working in sunny southern California...pretty close to paradise. I'm a sales rep for a fortune 100 company and enjoy my work, the high stress level and long hours make dieting/healthy eating difficult sometimes, but nothing's impossible. I'm mom to a 17-year old AND I'm working on my Masters degree. Pretty busy life. I work very hard and I play hard...I'm an avid scuba diver and twice a year I go on fabulous dive vacations. I've totally had enough with looking like a whale in a wetsuit, not to mention the health thing. So...........here I am. I figure if my life is this great, it'll be incredable once I've mastered the weight thing.
