Now or Never--the final stretch


I am 25 years old and from Minnesota. I have always struggled with my weight, but I decided enough is enough!

My journey officially began on Jan 1st, 2008. I was looking at my pictures from Christmas and I was so upset. I looked horrible! I had to pour myself into my jeans that were obviously too small. My journey officially began on Jan 1st, 2008. I was looking at my pictures from Christmas and I was so upset. I looked horrible! I had to pour myself into my jeans that were obviously too small. I was also sick of feeling run-down, tired, and unhealthy. Although I didn't have any health problems at the time, I knew it wouldn't be long before I developed some if something didn't change!

It's been three years and a lot has changed. I've lost 40 pounds and I've gotten married. I was within 3-4lbs of my goal weight when I got married. Then I gained 6lbs on my honeymoon and I'm back trying to lose the last 10 pounds again! My goal is to be back at my goal weight by June 1st, 2011.

My Goals:
I would like to lose 50 pounds. I also want to tone up and get into better shape so I can be more active! I want to run a 5k in October '11

My Program:
 I workout 5 times a week and count calories.

    Yeah, we flew to puerto rico and took a cruise the week after. But I would have preferred to stay in Jamaica for another week. We hadn't been before either. I've heard some people say they'd never go back because it's not safe but I was never afraid. I think it depends on what kind of traveling you do. We went to the resort and never left unless it was with an organized tour. We went to dolphin cove and Dunns river falls. Both were a lot of fun. Destination weddings are awesome but can be stressful when you don't know what the property/country is going to be like. I found an awesome resource in http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum

    Thanks for the comment on my blog! Where in ocho rios are you getting married at? There's lots of beautiful resorts around there! We were about 20-30 minutes outside of Ocho Rios at a Breezes resort. I loved Jamaica!

    Good to know that there are others out there who don't want everything so traditional. It's not that I don't love the idea of having my sisters stand beside me as I enter this new phase...it's just not me. I didn't particularly feel super connected as a BM in either of my sisters' weddings and we sat in the pews with everyone else for the majority of the wedding anyway so what's the point!? On top of that, I don't want a B'ette party or wedding showers or anything like that so they wouldn't have any bridesmaid tasks to complete anyway!

    And yay for no veils! It just doesn't feel right for me! Both of my sisters looked gorgeous in theirs, but it's just not me. I'm so simple and plain and just basic. I don't like being the center of attention so my wedding will be hard enough for me without a giant poofy mass of tulle attached to my head! emoticon = ICK, haha! (:
