Introduction Text I am 75 years old as of August 31st this year (2014) and truly blessed. I have so much to thank God for. I am a mother of 7 children, 13 Grandchildren, 16 Great-grandchildren, and 3 Great-great grand child. I have been with Spark People since February, 2009 I was gone for a while but returned because I realize how important having others in your life to support you and who have experienced some of the things you have and are now going through. We need one others for support, encouragement, motivation to lift up our self- esteem in knowing we can do whatever we set our minds to. Also, being sensitive and aware of our journey to a healthier lifestyle. Support groups are the best thing we can have to keep us focused towards our goals, so I am back and determined to change old habits to a more healthier lifestyle. I am in it, to win it. My motto: With God on my side who can be against me.

I working towards losing 75 lbs. for a healthy mind, body and spirit. I plan to accomplish this by December, 2014. If I accomplish this goal before this time I will continue with my goal to maintain my weight at my goal. I've had to change my goal date because I've had a few physical set backs during the year. My goals have not changed I am still in the race until I reach my goals.

I am using Spark People Nutritional Menu to eat more healthier and I am using Spark People Exercises to get more fit. When I am feeling more secure with my changes I wil be able to keep on the same nutritional plan and exercise program.

I was born in Walaxachie, Texas and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Was married and is the mother of seven children. Grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of 16 and a great- great grandmother of one. I love my family with all my heart. I moved back to Texas in 1986 after my mother passed and I love my state. I am a very spiritual person, I believe in God and Jesus Christ I have a personal relationship with my savior. I believe that ALL things are possible through Christ Jesus. I have started this journey with Christ and I will take nothing for my journey. I believe that if you ask it shall be given to you, if you knock the door will be opened and if you seek you will find. I am here to stay with my Lord and Savior for always.

My favorite book is the Bible; my favorite Bible verses are Joshua 24:15, although there are many favorites Psalms 23 these two seem to stand out in my life for me. I enjoy Gospel, Jazz, Classic, Ballards, Blues, and some Hip-Hop music.
