I started on Sparkpeople a couple years ago. After battling a plateau for 7 months, I gave up. I wish I hadn't.

My wedding is September 30, 2011. I know I'll never be thin or even at a moderately healthy weight for it, but I'm using it as a reason to blast back into a weight loss program.

My cabinets are cleaned out, my bodybugg is on, and even though I'm currently in medical rotations 3 days a week and working 3 days a week, I've resolved to do what I can whenever I can.

My Goals:
I'm taking it in short strides - starting with the first fifty pounds. - I eventually have 120 pounds to lose.

The key for me, even at 25, is health. Of course being thin is a bonus; but with the amount of heart disease and diabetes in my family, I refuse to be overweight as I near my 30's.

To be healthy enough to safely get pregnant.

To lose and maintain to the point I can finally get that breast reduction (protip: DDD on a 5'3'' frame...not cool.)

To be brutally honest about myself.

My Program:
To be simple.

Eat right, exercise.

Don't aggravate old injuries, don't cause new ones.

Don't distract myself from family, schooling, and life.

This is important, but it isn't everything.

Personal Information:
A longtime resident of the US Midwest, farm girl who lives in the city, student who thrives on learning the body - partly because she is changing hers, and partly because she is a nursing student!

Other Information:
I'm always up for buddies, emails, conversations, and meetups. I'm new, but I'm ready to be involved!
