I love being retired. There's no one to "get after me" except myself. I can laze around if I feel like it, I can spark if I feel like it, and I can read if I feel like it. Now I have some books to read from the library. But, I can't wait for the library to be fully open again. Who knows when that will happen, though.

If you ever decide to come to Kauai, please let me know. I would love to meet you. Sorry that this pandemic have made people change their travel plans. Some folks, though, still come, and they have to quarantine for 14 days. It's not fun! I agree with you about people refusing to wear masks and practicing social distancing.

    Take care my friend! emoticon

It's been 4 years since you last visited Hawaii, and I am glad you have many happy memories from your visit to Hawaii. However, there are many changes in Hawaii, even on Kauai. I'm pleased that you were able to spend your honeymoon in Hawaii. The plantations are now gone, and who would have believed that they would go out of business. Now tourism is a major business here, but with COVID, it's so sad to see many people unemployed and having a hard time. We were ready to welcome visitors on August 1, but the mayors and governor are having second thoughts about that since there has been an increase in the number of positive cases in the state. It's so sad that people don't abide by the simple rules of wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, and washing their hands. What's so hard about that!

Take care and hope that one day you can visit us again. I'd love to meet you in person!

That's what I'm thinking, because so many of my spf's have iPhones. A lot have the sideways or upside down pic problems.

I'm happy that you think Hawaiian pineapples are amazingly delicious. That's great to know that! But, on Kauai, where I live, we don't have any pineapple fields/canneries any longer. There are small farmers who grow pineapples for the farmers markets which we have during the week. It's sad that there are no more pineapple fields and no more sugar cane fields. Production of these two products have been discontinued here.

Oh so you love the loco mocos too? That's great. My daughter loves them too. I'm not much of a hamburger person so I don't make them.

When were you in Hawaii? Sorry, I haven't been to your page until I read your comment on McJulieo's page. I see the picture of you and Gordon at the top of Diamond Head. I'm sure this was before the pandemic hit.

Have a great rest of the week. Stay safe! emoticon
