I am 62, married. I am a care giver for a wonderfully sweet down syndrom lady and also an art teacher fo leisure learning classes at the local college. I have put teaching on hold so I could update my house.
I use to weigh 306 lbs. I lost down to 168 lbs 8 years ago and have held it under 180 for eight years. My knees are hurting,so I ahave decided that I will lose ten pounds in March period. I would love to lose an extra 20 pounds after that because when the knees go out, what Can I do then? I want to enjoy my grandkids. I have osteopenia so I take four calcium tablets per day and an omega 3 capsule and every mineral except copper.I'm a people person with conservative values.PS. I recently had my arm in a cast which makes upper body workouts difficult.. Today is the 2/8/2012and I have lost three pounds. Only 7 more to go to reach my first goal. Today is March 3th and I'm at 173. I weigh in tomorrow.

My Goals:
I am going to lose 10 pounds by March 29/2012. Then I'm going to steadily lose 20 more poundss and learn to navigate this site.

My Program:
The first week, I walked on a treadmil for 10 minutes,#4 incline and speed 30. I lost 3 pounds!
This week I am dancing for at least 20 minutes a day and I am keeping my calories at an average of 1400 per day. I only managed 5 minutes a

Personal Information:
My favorite authors are Jane Austin, Agatha Kristie. I teach fine art at the local college for beginners. The name of the course is "Paint Your Own Masterpiece". My method is baby steps, just copy one element at a time from one to four inches at a time.

Other Information:
Christie and Catherine Marshall. I've just started the Guide Post novels. I love the first two novels from Guidepost so much that I'm rereading and taking color notes.
I love Hallmark movies and animal movies(Racing Stripes,Mr. Poppers Penquins, and Underdog)!
