I've been struggling with weight and health issues for quite some time. I realize that there is no magic pill, no tricks or short-cuts to this; the only way to really lose weight is to eat less overall, choose better foods and move more - Something that has always been difficult for me. I've lost weight on any number of diets - 40 pound here, 7- pounds there, until I got bored and wandered off. The past couple of years, I've whittled down my "reset" weight by about 40 pounds, so there has been progress of a sort...

It's been a tumultuous year and I've fallen off the bandwagon and started gaining again. It's time to reboot and get going again.

My Goals:
Get the weight off, and keep it off; Increase my activity levels over time; work on keeping depression under control and gain a more positive life and lifestyle overall. My Concrete goal for this is to drop to a size 18/20 and maintain that solidly with an eye toward size 16. Movement wise, I'd like to be able to ride a bicycle again.

My Program:
Starting June 06, 2017 I am working on a Medi-fake diet using Herbalife products. I've lost weight on Medifast, so I'm hopeful that this more budget-friendly option will work for me. I'm giving it 30 days and will reevaluate next month some time to see how it's working.

Personal Information:
Fourty-Something. Spouse, Mom and Chauffeur Supreme; Homeschooling the younger set, hanging with the older set as they get ready to spread their wings and test the winds.....kinda bittersweet, that.

    Use the site daily and be consistent with your food tracking and exercise: Calorie deficits are necessary for weight loss and exercise is for general fitness and yes, you must have both.

    Read the articles for information. Read member blogs for motivation and encouragement.

    This is a fabulous site and if you rely on it daily and remain consistent with your program, you will achieve your goals.
