    Thanks for the post!
I've done them with friends, although I've mostly trained alone. The past 2 years, we've done a Wed. morning bike ride together and usually see each other at the pool for swimming, which really adds to accountability. It has been a lot of fun.
The 2 I've done were the Danskin Women's series and this year, the new Trek Women's Series. A lot of women comment that they can't run and that's one of the great things with both of them...you don't have to. You can walk the whole thing or alternate running and walking - it really doesn't matter and no one is judging you! They both have swim support (Swim Angels or Swim Sisters) that is an added bonus.
I've had some friends that have joined actual training groups, but we don't have anything real close to my city.
If you've ever considered doing a triathlon (or thought about it and quickly talked yourself out of it), there is a great book called "Slow Fat Triathlete: Live Your Athletic Dreams in the Body You Have Now" by Jayne Williams and Tim Anderson. It's a great read, humorous and inspiring. She weighed over 200 pounds when she did her first one.
I didn't know if I could post that on the thread or not.

Anyway, thanks again for the thumbs up and the congrats! Hope your tooth is doing better!

Thanks for asking. Yes, we're off to a pretty good start. Another teacher told me at lunch that some of the volleball players were talking about how they love French class and were singing to her. I'm going to have to sit kids on the floor if the couselors don't stop sending kids into my English 11 class. Tomorrow I'll have three without desks. I think I'm up to 31 in there now. Let the games begin! emoticon
