The ROCKIN' RED FOXES BLC TEAM FAMILY
my SERIOUS SISTERS
& SPARKPEOPLE are saving my life.

My journey with SparkPeople began in May 2009 when I weighed somewhere around (more than but the scale didn't go that high) 475+ pounds. Thanks to water aerobics & swimming, I am healthier today than I have been in years. I not only participate but I teach WA & swim classes daily. Exercise in the water is the BEST way for me to lose weight & stay healthy without too much pain.

On July 23, 2018 I began a KETO lifestyle. I'm working on my emotional eating issues with a therapist and EATING to LIVE instead of living to eat. I feel better than I have in years. One day at a time, my life is changing for the better

I am PASSIONATE about leading the ROCKIN' RED FOXES BLC team FAMILY.

I am also involved in an awesome private Spark Team that helps me with my program. The team is called: FRIENDly Persuasion: a safe haven for friends It is a "friendship" team that provides a stress-free environment for loving, inspiring & supporting one another. My Goals:
My long term goal is to reach my goal wt of 185. Ultimately, my goal is to be the healthiest and happiest that I can be & to continue to be an active member of the YMCA Aquatic staff where I teach water aerobics & swim lessons! I am determined to live a complete KETO lifestyle.


My Program:
I use the SP fitness & food trackers daily. Eat KETO. Do at least 60 mins cardio, & 30 mins strength training 7 days a week! Stay active on SP finding & sharing motivation. LOVE MYSELF HEALTHY & spreading Kindness & Positiveness.



Personal Information:
My name is Dawn & I live in Martinsville VA. I have 2 grown sons & a "heart daughter". I have 14 grandchildren (7 biological & 7 "heart") My husband Paul is Welsh. Together we live with my eldest son & his two children. My eldest granddaughter just moved in with us too. We have a HAPPY house (most days) and are very grateful. We live less than a half mile from our church where all of my family here in Mvlle attend. God is good.


Other Information:
my hobbies are: water aerobics & swimming , reading, crocheting, & spending time w/my grandchildren.

    Dawn...Did you ever settle in on a weight loss goal and exercise plan that gives you the desired calorie intake you are comfortable with? Since boosting my exercise (quite by accident since I am loving the swimming!) my calorie intake is up. I so want to see 2 pounds go weekly, but adding the extra calories scares me. I've figured lots out since my journey began, but I still need clarification on this. I don't want to be a stumbling block to myself in any way. Have YOU learned any helpful information in your quest for answers?

    I see we are both newbies on the Last Timers team. I'm so excited to find this team and so far in my reading of the posts, the gals seem very motivated and supportive. I feel this team will be a real source of inspiration.
