I've accepted "the Eowyn Challenge", and now it's time to put my money where my mouth is. I gained a lot of weight after a life changing injury, and I want it OFF.

I want to reach a healthy weight and fit in the clothes I wore before my injury and to be as fit and healthy as possible despite my physical limitations. I am finding that even though I can't do all of the things I used to love physically, there are things I can do to help me get to where I want to be.

I am currently following the Paleolithic diet plan approximately 80% of the time with a splurge here and there and using my exercise bike daily to complete The Eowyn Challenge. It has the added benefit of building up endurance in my injured leg and hopefully stimulating some healing of the nerve damage.

I live in Southeast Georgia with my husband and our cats and dogs.

I love gardening, kayaking, reading and writing. I'm starting to fall in love with biking, something I haven't done avidly since I was car-less. If the nerve damage heals enough, I'll be able to graduate from the exercise bike to the real thing!
