Healthy Weight - it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle!
I want to lose my weight due to health reasons as I want to be around to see my beautiful little grandchildren grow up and graduate and get married and etc. I have been learning that Healthy Weight - it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle!

My goals are
25 pounds of by 12/15/2012
50 pounds off by 1/31/2013 .
75 pounds off by 3/15/2013
100 pounds off by 5/31/13.
150 pounds off by 8/31/13
200 pounds off by 11/15/13
212 pounds off by 12/24/13 ( My goal Weight!)
1. Lower Blood Pressure
2. To take one day at a time
3. To walk 60 minutes everyday.
4. Do my cardio workout at least 3 times a day.
5.To remember that I am a good and beautiful person and I can do anything I put my mind to do.

To meet my goals:
I am following my diabetic diet my diabetic nurse gave me.
weighing out everything and recording everything in my book.
Walking 30 minutes a day.
Personal Information:
Hi! I am Dorothy and I am from Ohio. I have 2 grown sons, and beautiful grandchildren. I am a bird person as we have an African Grey Parrot(Spencer), A Quaker Parrot(Lindsey), A Cockatiel(Jim-Jim), A Ring-neck Love Dove(Shirley) and A male Eclectus Parrot(Forest). They are our feathered kids.
I am a Home Health Aide and care for my boyfriend who has Cerebral Palsy. He is a teacher at the local Community College. My days are full, but I have managed to find time for myself.
I have been overweight all my life and have been on every diet imaginable and of course like everyone has experienced they don't work. But I have decided that it is time to take charge of my life and take care of myself and LOSE, LOSE, LOSE!!!!!!
Other Information:
I love cross stitching and quilting. I love going to the art museum and conservatory. I LOVE shopping, but don't we all!!!
I have really gotten to love my daily walks and cardio workouts. I miss them when something comes up and I have to do without them.
