I've been on here over and over again, always losing 10-20 lbs, then getting distracted, or depressed, or losing motivation - or some life change. This time I'm here more because I have to be. I'm almost 30, and I'm 100 lbs heavier than I'd like to be. I always told myself that I was fine, that yea I could lose a little weight, but it wasn't a big deal, until a few months ago when I stepped on the scale to see that I had tipped the scale to over what I told myself I'd never be - 300 lbs. Since then I've known I need to lose, and had been thinking about it, though not doing anything about it, but when I went to my Doctor this last week I was told that my weight was the cause of a lot of my problems, and that I was a 'Prime Candidate' for bariatric surgery - to which I responded - "No way!"

This is my chance to actually make myself healthier, and I have to do it for myself. I will not rely on surgery or pills to make myself lose weight, unless I have entirely failed myself.

I know they're ok for some people, but they're not for me.

So I have to actually make this work for me this time - and make myself work for my goals.

Tracking what I eat, staying in my levels, and exercising a few times a week at minimum.
