Update 8/17/14:
I'M BACK!!!! After a few tough personal years, I'm rejuvenated and bringing myself back to garner support from fellow sparkers. After my move in 2010, I made a best ditch effort to continue my fitness goals, but got sidetracked along the way. RI had many beautiful venues to keep me active, and I was honestly uninspired in my new home state. Since moving, I did complete two half marathons early on, and recently (early this summer) completed the Insanity program....however, after completing it, I went on a fitness hiatus.

I am going back to my tried and true, Body For Life, regime. I find with my work schedule, this program is where I will see results. I believe the key is diet mainly, with a balance of weight training and cardio. But its such an easy program to follow when you prepare and organize...so, if you're on this program, or need or can lend support, send me a message.

Update: 12/29/11 -- I've been out of touch for quite some time. Since moving south, I've lost a bit of focus after finishing two half-marathons in April 2010. I still go to the gym, run, and try to eat decent, but still the weight is creeping on.

I figured if anyone can get me back on track...its ME! It has to be me, right? But, I've come back to SparkPeople for motivation.

I'm updated my goals to the right, and with a goal to keep me in line, I WILL be successful !!

Update: 9/1/10 -- Currently training for my 3rd triathlon on 10/2/10. I've slipped a bit since moving back to WV. A hip injury in April set me back about 5-6 weeks. I'm trying to get focused, get used to the miserable heat this summer, and do my best.

12/29/09: On January 4th, I will leave Rhode Island after 7 1/2 years of falling in love with the little state. Returning to my home state of West Virginia, I will begin a career I've dreamed of for many years. In the process of doing this, a total life change is coming about. I'm excited and ready to make it happen.

Thanks to all my spark buddies that inspire and encourage me along my path to adventure and fitness!!

    Hey Carol!

Snow...yuck! Thus far we've been lucky but I don't think we will be for much longer. ..

Glad you are still gym loving, I hate it too when I run into people I know particularly through work & then they want to chat when I'm sweating & disgusting. I wish my gym was a bit more low key!

I haven't really selected my races for 2011 just yet because I haven't decided what my big goal will be. I know that I want to venture into doing an Olympic distance tri but I'm also debating marathon as well. Don't know though yet if it's something that I really want to do just because I don't know exactly when I could fit in 4 hrs of training runs in my life. I mean I see others around here doing it so I know that it's not impossible but it seems like that's a long time. Plus I'm scared of injuries particularly after my ankle sprain last week because I could not imagine being sidelined with a serious injury, it must really suck! I think I'm still going to stick with doing 1-2 races per mth but I think I want to work on doing longer more challenging races for next yr instead of these 5K events. On the RI calendar there usually not a ton of races advertised at this time of the year either. Last year that is what annoyed me because I thought *gasp* perhaps I will not be able to race during the winter mths but soon enough more things get posted.

I hope that you are enjoying the holiday season!

    Hi Carol!

How are things? Haven't heard from you in a bit so I hope everything is going well in WV! Yeah, I know about having to make it a goal to do a Christmas craft because I'm just like you which is why it's actually a chore while others do it purely for fun...this time of the year I always get unreasonably stressed out so I'm trying not to drive myself too crazy!
