Who I am: I'm a happy mother and wife but I would be happier if I were a healthy mother and wife.

How I gained the weight: Three years ago I had a job that I hated beyond belief. My job caused me to relocate to the misery and fat capital of the U.S. My work schedule took over my life. Fast food, junk food and frozen daquiries became a must on my grocery list. Needless to say I GAINED weight.

I found the motivation to take my life and body back. I made time during the day for workouts, packed more breakfasts, lunches and dinners from home (because my hours were that long). I rode my bike on the weekends with my kids. I was getting healthy and loosing the weight. Life decided to throw me a curve ball. I was injured in a car accident. I could still get around but painfully. Pain, stress, depression and anxiety helped me to take my weight to a whole new level. I'm heavier now than I have ever been in my life (including when I was pregnant).

What I've done so far: I quit the job that I hated. I moved to beautiful sunny California. I have a strong family support system. I cut out daqueries and a lot of the fast food. I've started walking and swimming a little. I try to drink only water but to quote my cousin "water is boring!" I eat full servings of fruits and veggies

My delima; I have a weakness for snacks. (I keep them in the house for my husband and kids, and to be truthful for myself. I also still have backpain, nerve pain and muscle spasms. I get impatient with my body becuase I can't workout like I used to. In the past my weight would not come off or stay off without running; and right now I just can't do that. Therefore, I lose my motivation to workout at all.
How I try to motivation my self: I squish my body into my clothes that I really can't fit. The heat in Cali makes that extra uncomfortable. I don't want to spend money on more clothes to fill my already over crowded closet. i look at my two wonderful boys and loving husband and say if not for me then for them. I am also super jealous (in a good way) of my gorgeous sister, Nsweetu4ia. She lost weight with Spark... she has her own story.
Why I'm here: To look at the stories of how you all did it. What you are doing to get through it. Find more motivation. Track what I'm doing. Get some ideas for more recipes and safe workouts.

My Program:
I joined a gym and workout 5-6 times a week. I play Kinect, swim and walk around the neighborhood with my kids.

    Lol! It's ok that you had ice cream. We can have treats but we cant overdo it! Ang & Jim just offered me woopie pies at work…now THAT's a no-no lol. I'm drinking hot green tea instead…it's freezing in here! I gained 13, lost 3 gained 2 lol so I'm at a 1 lb loss. Lol
    Yay to Zumba for you! I really wanna find a (cheap) fitness class ~ I'd love to do capoeira but it's only offerend in the city.
    So yea, no more oompa loompa girls! We got this!! I love you, too!!
    Sorry this one isnt as fun…here @ work. ;-p
