I found SparkPeople back in 2006 but didn't really start using it until 2008. It was a lifesaver for me when I finally realized I needed to take control of my weight and try to live more healthy. SparkPeople gave me lots of resources and encouragement to work toward my goals by guiding me in a healthy way to eat the right amount of food and add fun ways of exercise to my daily routine.

After all these years of being on the yo-yo of ups and downs with weight loss, I always come back when I realize I'm off track and need to get my focus back.

My Goals:
Start Weight: 229
End Goal: Low 140's

The lowest weight I have reached on my journey was 140 lbs. in June 2011 and again November 2013. I am constantly working to get back to that and maintain between 140 - 150 lbs! I just can't seem to get it and keep it.

To get my heart, soul, and mind working together to stay healthy no matter what obstacles are put in my path!

To put myself first in my choices and remember that I am the only one who can truly take care of me!


My Program:
I have learned that I need to track my food and follow my SP food range and using the food pyramid.

I include mostly all whole grain, natural, low fat and fresh products. I try not to eat many processed foods and have learned how to make better choices when dining out.

I fit in exercise when I can because I burn out if I make it a job to exercise. I have learned to make it more fun and fit it in as much as I can.

I play with my kids, jump rope, swim, bike, run, use on demand exercise TV and SparkPeople videos.

I am not so good with strength training but do own a Total Gym,, resistance bands, and enjoy the exercises on SparkPeople.



Personal Information:
I have a wonderful sister who is a fitness instructor at our local YMCA. She gives me lots of support and advise which I take to heart! I would not be where I am today without her.

I am married, have 3 wonderful children and live in Central New York.

    Are you interested in a Challenge?

    The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Spring challenge will be getting started the beginning of March. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Winter we had Help Santa Fill His Sleigh, Run Rudolf Run and Super Bowl.
