It's time to get off the diet roller coaster and start making some big changes in my life. Instead of dieting, I am looking at starting a new lifestyle which includes eating more fresh produce and working out at least five days a week. It's going to be hard, but with hard work comes many rewards.

About me: I just retired as a roller derby player after 4 seasons with the Queen City Roller Girls. Now that I'm in graduate school, as well as working full-time, I'm finding it hard to find an activity that gets me up and moving. If it weren't for school and injuries, I'd be back on eight wheels in a flash!

When I'm not working hard at getting healthy, I love to craft and consume inhuman amounts of caffeine. My favorite crafts are subversive cross stitch and making jewelry. Also, I can cook up a storm in the kitchen, which is great when trying to make new healthy recipes.

My Goals:
I have a lot of weight to lose, but I'm going to try and do it in 10-20% increments. Small goals are much easier to attain, and they'll be motivation to keep going!

My Program:
My program is to eat the healthiest option possible. I'm focusing on whole grains, unprocessed foods, and am trying to stay away from anything artificial. Also, I'm going to try and be active 5 out of 7 days a week. Even if I don't make it to the gym, I am going to at least try to go for a walk around my neighborhood.

Personal Information:
I work with children on the autism spectrum, as well as attend graduate school part-time.
