    Courtney, today I am going to make a smoothie with fresh strawberries my daughter brought me yesterday. Will add 1/2 of a banana and some kefir and Greek yogurt. Come join me!!
    I need something to calm me down. My daughter lost her keys here some place we looked and looked, had to have someone come pick her up. Then I was thrilled because a pair of shoes I ordered to wear to my grandson's wedding came, yeah (I thought) opened the package and instead of 11 W (I have big feet!!) in white, they were size 5 med. in black. Some days are like that, either makes the pain you have worse or you forget about it for a bit! Hugs, Betty emoticon

    I would love to keep in touch weekly - I will post this as a Spark Mail as well so we can decide how we will continue communicating.
    Although I have not been online daily, I am still eating well and exercising between 5 and 6 days a week. Last week I got very nice surprise when I weighed in on Wednesday, I had lost 1,6 kg's [3,5lbs]. I had picked up 0,3 [0,6lbs] the previous week and had also enjoyed a Fathers Day lunch with my family on that Sunday. I am not using it as an excuse to take things easy, but more as a reality check. I do not want to diet and then have a binge, so I'm concentrating on getting a good balance between foods I enjoy & vegetables as well as cranking up the exercises. So far it seems to be working but these next couple of weeks will tell.
    I was re-reading your comments on your Spark page and wondered at the pain you were talking about and what drastic changes happened to you?

    Hi Courtney how are things going with you. I had an OK week, not bad, but not great either. I am still please to note that I managed to lose 0,6kg [1.32 lbs] but it pales in comparrison to last week's 1.4kg [3lbs]. I guess that is what the difference is between a diet and a lifestyle change. It is cold and very wet her in Cape Town and soup has been my saviour. I eat it with my sandwich at lunch so that I can get in my veggies and also save my hot drinks for after I've taken my water otherwise I'm cold for the rest of the day. How is your week going?

    I am also looking to lose that weight with you. I will turn 50 in October next year and decided now is the time to get started and slowly work towards my goal of being fit and heathly by then. I am with you every step of the way
