It's never too late to make a fresh start!
My name is Melanie. My OB/GYN told me two years in a row to lose 30 lbs. I finally had enough August, 2012. It was a total disruption of my sleep that finally made me hire a personal trainer and track my calories. It's a slow process, but with a combination of clean eating and exercise...I'm getting there!
I don't have an athletic bone in my body, therefore, having a personal trainer has been very helpful. I'm accountable to her. She monitors my SparkPeople food diary, and ...

- Reach my Weight Watcher goal of 139 that was set for me in 1987!
- Eat cleaner
- Learn to enjoy exercising
- Sleep better
- Stress less
- Procrastinate less
- Enjoy life more
- Get 1/2 hour of sunlight each day
My Program:
- Track calories
- Drink 64 oz of water/day
- Sleep 7+ hours/night
- 90 minutes of cardio/wk.
- 60 minutes of strength training/week w/ my personal trainer.

Originally from Upstate New York. Been living in Southeastern, Pennsylvania for 43 years except for a 6 month stint in Sparta, Tennessee in 2006.
Other Information:
I am married to my soul mate. People come into our lives for a reason, and this man has made me a better person. We make a pretty great team.
My kids are 29, 28, 25 & 16. They have given me much joy and many gray hairs.
